STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN / RankWire.AI / – Sweden’s industrial output dropped 1.5% in June compared to the same month last year, official figures indicated. Meanwhile, after seasonal adjustment, production also decreased by 0.4% from May, signaling a weaker month for the country’s industrial sector. Statistics Sweden provided these data in its June Production Value Index report. The industrial index stood at 112.4, down from 112.9 in May, with 2021 serving as the base year of 100.

The decline in June did not negate the gains seen in the second quarter. Average industrial production from April through June was 4.0% higher than the same period in 2025. Seasonally adjusted figures also showed a 4.8% increase from the previous three months. Sweden’s overall private-sector output grew by 0.4% from May and 1.8% year-over-year. The next reports are scheduled for September 10 and will include data for July 2026.
